Peacefully at the Dr. John M. Gillis Memorial Lodge the
passing of Ella Louise MacKinnon (nee MacDonald), age 84, formerly of
Cardigan, wife of the late Roderick J. MacKinnon and first husband Roy
Thomas MacDonald, occurred on Monday, August 31, 2015 with family by
her side. Born in Mount Hope on April 24, 1931, she was the daughter
of the late Angus and Tina (MacLean) MacDonald. Ella is survived by
her loving children; Marjorie Batchilder (Kevin), Donna Richards
(Clinton), Linda Phillips (Warren), Graham MacDonald (Theresa
Sheehan), Gary MacDonald (Bev), David MacDonald (Karin), Dale
MacDonald (Jennifer), Donnie MacDonald (Lauretta), Nancy Jackson,
Thelma Larkin (Darin), Peter MacDonald, Kevin MacDonald (Joanne), Tena
Creamer (Trevor), Tammy MacKinnon (Gerard); daughters-in-law Elinor
Moore, Marlene MacDonald; Numerous grandchildren; many cousins,
nieces, and nephews. She Was predeceased by her sons, Robert MacDonald
and Blair MacDonald; sisters Mary Burke (Ray), Ada Hunter (Bordon),
Annie MacDonald (Sterling), Betty Pascucci (Carl); brother Arthur
MacDonald; granddaughters, Beth MacDonald, Kaylee Jackson; grandson
Cole Lawrence.

Funeral Home with visiting hours on Thursday, September 3, 2015 from 2
to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Service to be held on Friday, September 4
in the Funeral Home Chapel, at 11: 00 am. Interment to take place in
the Dundas Community Cemetery. Donations to the Dundas Community
Cemetery would be appreciated.
