Suddenly at home the passing of Robert J. Dunn age 75, devoted husband of 50 years to Verna (nee Condon) occurred on Tuesday February 9, 2016. Born February 16, 1940, he was the son of the late Eugene and Loretta Dunn. Robert is survived by his loving children, Paula Williams, Kevin (Bonnie) Dunn, Darren (Colleen) Dunn, Tammie (Phil) Muise, Justin (Carol) Dunn; Robert was lovingly known as "Home" to his grandchildren, he shared a special fatherly bond with grandchildren Kristen, Danielle, and Laura, as well as his other grandchildren, Emily, Megan, Nick, Kyla, Julia, Matthew, Jordan, Ali, Patrick, Conor, Keifer, Ashleigh, Cohen; sister, Erma Pitre, brother-in-law Larry ( Betty) Condon; sisters-in-law Marina Johnston, Trudy Condon, Lorraine Praught; large circle of nieces, nephews and extended family. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his parents  in-law Raymond and Margaret Condon; sisters Mary Hynes, Della Cox, Alvina Cullen; brothers, Gerald, Victor, Buddy; brother-in-law Alfred Condon.

Robert dedicated his life to advance the education of his family, having had five children graduating from Dalhousie University. In his spirit the family has established an education fund for his grandchildren where donations would be graciously accepted at the Funeral Home.

Resting at Ferguson Logan Montague Funeral Home with visiting on Friday, February 12, 2016 from 5 to 9 pm.  Funeral Mass to be held on Saturday, February 13th at 11 am from St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Sturgeon. Interment to take place in the spring.
