Martin Smith, age 49, passed away peacefully at Kings County Memorial Hospital in Montague on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 after a sudden illness. He is survived by his beloved wife, Kim, his mother, Cynthia, and the creatures so dear to his heart: dogs Sophie and Ruby, and cats, Stella, Fiona and Edmund. Martin was happiest at home on the farm, whether on his tractor, working with his sheep, or going for beach walks with his wife and dogs. He always had a smile on his face, would always lend a helping hand to his neighbours, and will be greatly missed by his family and many close friends who came to know and love him. Donations may be made in his memory to the PEI Humane Society.
