Peacefully at the Dr. John M. Gillis Memorial Lodge on August 28, 2016 we sadly announce the passing of Alta Mae Campbell (nee MacKay) with family by her side.  Born on October 1, 1926, beloved wife of the late John Campbell and last surviving family member of the late Albert and Viola (Reid) MacKay. She is survived by daughters Jean (John) Giddings, Saint John, NB, Dot Campbell (Larry Robertson), Montague, PEI; son-in-law Rod O’Connor; brother-in-law Sterling Hume; 10 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. Predeceased by daughters Myrna O’Connor, Rita Anne (infant);great granddaughter Ashley Elizabeth O’Connor (infant); brothers and sisters, Evelyn, Phyllis, Vernon, Gerald, Myrna and Laurie.


Resting at Ferguson Logan Montague Funeral Home with visiting on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 from 6 to 9 pm. Funeral Service to be held on Thursday, September 1st from the Funeral Home Chapel at 2 pm. Interment to take place in the Peters Road Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations to the Peters Road Cemetery or the Dr. John M. Gillis Lodge would be appreciated.
