At the Kings County Memorial Hospital, the passing of John Douglas Nicholson, age 72 of Montague, formerly of Milltown Cross occurred on Friday, April 21, 2017 with family by his side. Born in Montague, October 6, 1944 he was the son of the late John A.W. and Elizabeth Ann (Matheson) Nicholson. John is survived by his sisters Marion Beck (Jim) of Milltown Cross, Joan Millar (Wilmot "Will") of Ontario, Jessie Clarey (John) of Whim Road, Doris Files (James) of Texas; numerous nieces and nephews.

Resting at Ferguson Logan Montague Funeral Home, with visiting on Sunday, April 30, 2017 from 6 to 8 pm. Funeral Service to be held on Monday, May 1, at 3:00 pm, from the Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to take place in the Brooklyn Cemetery. Donations to the Brooklyn Cemetery would be appreciated.
