At the Dr. John M. Gillis Memorial Lodge on Tuesday, September 11, 2018, Edith (Baker) MacDonald passed away peacefully at age 92, beloved wife of the late Wallace Robert MacDonald. Born March 27,1926 in Cape Bear, Prince Edward Island, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Phoebe (Penny) Baker. Edith will be missed by her loving children Marie (Ralph) Fraser and Robert (Barb) MacDonald. Also remembered by a special sister Adeline Livingstone and son-in-law Dr. Carl Canning; grandchildren Pamela (Jacques), Robert (Kelly), Derek (Carol), Karilee and Jennifer (Steve); great grandchildren Joshua (Kayla), Elijah, Aidan, Elise, Mairin, Bryn, Liam, Emmett, Paige, Aidan and Gavin. Besides her parents and husband, Edith was predeceased by her daughter Janet Canning who recently passed on July 31, 2018, great grand daughter Annika Fraser in 2011 and 7 siblings Warren, Will, Ada, Melida, Nettie, Eliza and Stanley.

Resting at Ferguson Logan Montague Funeral Home with visiting on Friday, September 21st from  4 to 7  pm. Funeral Service to take place at Ferguson Logan Funeral Home Chapel,  on Saturday, September 22nd at 11 am.,reception afterwards.  Interment to follow in St. David’s United Cemetery. Donations to the seeingeye.org or St. David’s United Cemetery Georgetown  would be appreciated.

Thank you to all the staff at Gillis Lodge for the special care and compassion given to our Mom over the last several years.
