Peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown, of Rita Catherine Naddy (Nee Grant), age 74 of Newtown Cross, devoted wife of 47 years to Vincent Naddy, occurred on Wednesday, November 26, 2014. Born in Montague, PE, on February 13, 1940, she was the daughter of the late George and Helen (Gleason) Grant. Rita is survived by her loving children Joseph Naddy, Billy (Rose Mary) Naddy; brothers and sisters Annie (Leo) Mooney, Charlie Grant, Robert (Jeanette) Grant, Audrey (Barry) MacPherson, Richard Grant, Thomas (Maria) Grant, Janet (Austin) Hounsell; five cherished grandchildren Daniel, Michael, Gabrielle, Harrison and Julianna Naddy; several cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers John Grant, Joseph Grant; sister, Sr. Pauline Grant CSM; sister-in-law Lois Grant.

Resting at Ferguson Logan Montague Funeral Home, with visitation on Friday, November 28, 2014, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, November 29, 2014, at 10:30 am, from St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Iona. Interment to take place in St. Michael’s Parish Cemetery. Donations to St. Michael’s Parish Cemetery, Iona or Queen Elizabeth Hospital, would be appreciated. C W L will have prayers at the Funeral Home, on Friday, at 1:30 pm.
