With sadness the family announces the passing of there father David Stephen McGuigan age 82 devoted husband of the late Joan (Mercier) McGuigan, occurred on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at the Dr. John M. Gillis Memorial Lodge with family by his side. Born in Gaspereaux, he was a son of the late John and Helen (French) McGuigan. David will be greatly missed by his loving children Valerie (Ivan) Butler, Philip (Joanne) McGuigan, Kenny (Karen) McGuigan, Kim (Brian) Smith, Kevin (Nancy) McGuigan, Karen (Darren) Fraser, Kelly McGuigan and George (Heidi) McGuigan; cherished grandchildren Lisa, Steven Butler, Holly Goldstrend, Justin, Joshua Smith, Devon, Dylan McGuigan, Kayla, Jordan Fraser and Sarah McGuigan; nine adored great grandchildren; sisters and brothers Mary (Bernard) Farrell, Jack (Debbie) McGuigan, Eldon (Winnie) McGuigan, Anna Mae (John) Daley, Flossie Chalker and Maureen (Joe) Donahoe; sister-in-law Mary Kelly; cousins, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Ralph and Donald McGuigan and brother-in-law Kenny Issa.

Resting at Ferguson Logan Montague Funeral Home with visiting on Friday, December 8 from 5 to 8 pm. Funeral Mass to be celebrated on Saturday, December 9 from St. Pauls Catholic Church, Sturgeon at 10:30 am. Interment to take place in the Parish Cemetery. Donations to the St. Pauls Cemetery, Sturgeon or the Childrens Wish Foundation would be appreciated.
