The death occurred on February 23, 2018 at Riverview Manor, Montague PEI of Agnes Irene Oliver. Agnes was born on the family farm in Beaverton Ontario on March 28, 1926. She was the daughter of Clarence Ritchie and Dolly Green. She left the farm in her teens to work in Toronto and was a long time resident of Toronto and Chandos Lake, Ontario. Agnes married her best friend Leicester Oliver, also of Beaverton, on November 20, 1946. Les died on August 16, 2015, aged 92. They raised three sons, Randy, of Calgary, now deceased, Brad of DeGros Marsh PEI (Carla Johnston), and Barry of Thunder Bay (Christine Storozuk). Agnes is survived by three sisters, Dorothy Sewell of Toronto, June Webster of Woodville, Ontario and Iris Gibson of Toronto. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Agnes was a strong willed woman of grace and integrity. She loved life, travel, enjoyed gardening, canoeing, life at the lake, good friends and family. She and Les were married for 69 years and together for 75 years having met when they were 15 years and 18 years old. They were superb parents who taught the boys to love life. Their cottage property at Chandos Lake is a work of art.

Agnes spent the last two years of her life as a resident of Riverview Manor, Montague PEI where she received the best care that one could imagine. She remarked that she had begun her days at Riverview School near Beaverton and was at Riverview Manor so many years later. The Oliver family thanks the staff of Riverview Manor and Health PEI for the wonderful care that Mom received. Agnes is survived by Lena Myers, her best friend whom she met at Riverview Manor. The two ladies were dear friends and made great company for each other.

As per her request there will be a memorial gathering near Beaverton Ontario at a date to be announced this summer. At that time Agnes, Les and Randy will be remembered.
