With broken hearts the family of Barrie E. Strickland, age 73, beloved husband of Elva (Moore) Strickland announce his passing at the Kings County Memorial Hospital on Friday, May 11, 2018 with his family by his side. Born in Beach Point he was the son of the late Chester and Elsie (Penny) Strickland. Barrie will be sadly missed by his loving children Anthony (Shelley), Richard; brother Eugene (Carol); step grandchildren Wilfred (Lise) Campbell, Jordan (Amalia) Campbell; great granddaughter Ariann Campbell; niece Ruth Moore; sisters-in-law, Vaughn Gosbee, Mina Conway, Beverly (Ralph) Walsh, Marlene (Danny) Whiteway; brothers-in-law Blaine (Brenda) Moore, Elton Moore. He was predeceased by sisters-in-law, Violet, Effie; brothers-in-law Aubrey, Alfred, Dale and Jackie.
    
Resting at Ferguson Logan Montague Funeral Home with visiting on Monday, May 14th from 4 to 8 pm. A graveside service will be held in the Murray Harbour Cemetery on Tuesday, May 15, at 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers donations to the Palliative Care Kings County Memorial Hospital or donors choice.
