Joan Ruth Dixon age 82 passed away peacefully at the Dr. John M. Gillis Memorial Lodge, Belfast on Saturday, May 12, 2018. Born in Gaspereaux, Oct. 1, 1935. Joan is survived by brother Bill (Bertha); sisters Gertie (Derrell), Shirley; many nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law Lillian and Laura; Joan will also be missed by her good friend Peggy Cameron. Predeceased by parents Percy and Lilly Dixon of Gaspereaux, PE; brothers Everette (Sadie), Archie (Lucy), Eldon (Velma), Grant, Claude and Baby Stanley; sisters Thelma (George R.), Myrtle (George W.), Edith (Laurie) and Baby Lillian; nephews Robbie, Blaine, Kilven and Kent; grand nephew Steve; grand niece Kelsie and brother-in-law Frank Clow.

Resting at Ferguson Logan Montague Funeral Home with visiting on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Funeral service to take place at 3:15 pm in the Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mark Buell officiating. Interment to take place in the Murray Harbour North Cemetery. Donations to the charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
