At the Kings County Memorial Hospital, the passing of Virginia Mary Scotto-Somers age 86, beloved wife of Charles Somers, occurred on Sunday, October 14, 2018. Born Brooklyn, NY on May 4, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Helen (Farrell) McNally. Virginia is survived by her loving children, Michael (Margie), Helen Woodcheke (Steve), Arthur (Maggie), Elizabeth Fields (Nick Fiorello), John (Judi Luksa) and Peter (Mercedes Carrero); step children Billy (Eleanor), Gail Johnston (Geordie), Gerard (Bernadette), John (Bernadine), Sharon Johnston (Gordon), Cindy Shepard (Dan), Brian (Charlene), Blair (Margaret), Joanne MacDonald (Kevin), Keith (Kelly) and Wayne (Pam); numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her first husband Arthur Francis Scotto and sister Laura De Silva (Jules deceased).


Resting at Ferguson Logan Montague Funeral Home, with visiting on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 from 4 to 7 pm. Funeral Mass to take place on Thursday, October 18 at 11:00 am from St. Georges Catholic Church. Interment to take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Montague. Donations to the Kings County Memorial Hospital equipment fund or a charity of choice  would be appreciated by the family.
