Peacefully at home with her family by her side, the passing of Mary Patricia MacLean age 84, of Cardigan, devoted wife of the late James W. MacLean, occurred on Thursday, December 2, 2021. Born in Morell, PE, September 6, 1937, daughter of the late Joseph and Myrtle (MacAuley) Ronaghan. Leaving to love and cherish their time and memories of Mary are her loving children Donna Marie (Donald) O’Brien and James "Clifford" (Jackie Rose) MacLean; brother Leonard Ronaghan; daughter-in-law, Darlene MacLean; cherished  grandchildren, Pamela (Wayne), Cheryl (Aaron), Stephanie (Devan); Jamie (Simone), Nancy (John), Tracey (Kevin), Amy (Perry), adored great grandchildren, Drew, Callie, Grayer, Katie, Michaela, Megan, James, Brett, Kassie, Wes, Luca, Morgan, Denver, Tyler, Dawson, Emmett; numerous relatives, nieces and nephews who loved Mary dearly.

No longer suffering, Mary can now rest in peace. She has joined loved ones that have passed before her including her children Michael and Pauline; brother Seymour; sisters, Anna, Helen, Clara and Freda.
 
The family wishes to send a special thank you to our mother’s care team; Dr. Campbell, the staff at Montague Home Care and the nurses at the Montague Palliative Care Program, your kindness and compassion during this difficult time did not go unnoticed. Mary wanted to especially thank her devoted granddaughter Pamela who was by her side offering unwavering love and support and to Father Tim and Claudia Batchilder for their numerous house visits and offerings of prayer.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to the care of Ferguson Logan Montague Funeral Home, with public visiting on Wednesday, December 8, 2021, from 6 to 8 pm. Must have Double VAX and Government ID to enter. Private family Mass to take place on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at All Saints Catholic Church, Cardigan. Interment to take place in the Parish Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, or flowers gratefully accepted.
