With family by his side at the Halifax Infirmary on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, the family announces with deep sorrow the passing of Percy Francis O’Brien, age 80, of Stratford and formerly of Cardigan. Born in Cardigan on  December 11, 1942, son of the late Francis and Lavinia (Byrne) O’Brien. He is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years, Debbie (Wilkie) O’Brien, sons, Luke (Angie), Robert, John, Joey, and daughter Jody. Also survived by step-children, John, Drik, Crystal, Geoff; eight cherished grandchildren; siblings, Donald (Donna), Billy, Dale (Preston), Gary (Angela), Lawrence (Theresa), Verna, John Francis, Jeanne, James, Darrin (Joni) and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Predeceased by brothers, Gary, Barry, and sister Faye.

Resting at Ferguson Logan Montague Funeral Home with visiting on Monday, February 6, 2023 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. Funeral service to be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 in the Funeral Home Chapel with live stream at 1:00 pm. Interment to take place in All Saints Catholic Cemetery, Cardigan.
