Peacefully, surrounded by family at her home in
Montague, the passing of Lola Mae Susan MacLeod (new Nicholson), age
59, occurred on Tuesday, June 23, 2026. Loving wife of Steven MacLeod.
Born in Montague on October 31, 1966, she was the daughter of the late
John and Mae (Peardon) Nicholson.
Survived by
her cherished son, Logan (Kelsie Hume) MacLeod; brothers Randy (Joan)
Nicholson and Wade (Emily) Nicholson; sisters-in-law Dolly and Irene
Nicholson; and her beloved fur baby, Boady. Predeceased by her
brothers Roger, Carl, Kimble, and Clinton
Nicholson.
Many knew
Lola from her years with Atlantic Fitness East. Whether she was
teaching a fitness class, caring for a child, or simply greeting you
with a warm smile at the door, she was loved by all who crossed paths
with her. On any given day, you could find her outdoors; she loved
nothing more than to stroll along a beach, get her kayak on the water,
give her all in a fitness competition, or hit the walking paths with
her special boy, Boady. When she was home, she loved nothing more than
curling up with family to watch movies.
She will be
missed wholeheartedly by all.
Resting at
Ferguson Logan Montague Funeral Home. By personal request, there will
be no visitation. A Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, June
27, 2026, at 3:00 pm in the funeral home chapel, followed by a time
for friends and fellowship at the Lower Montague
Hall.
Donations
to the Montague Home Care Equipment Fund or the PEI Cancer Treatment
Centre would be greatly appreciated by the
family.
