At the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, the peaceful passing of Doris Margaret White (nee Lowe) occurred on July 16, 2026, surrounded by the love of her children.

Doris will be forever missed by her family; daughter, Nancy (Lorne) Larkin; son, Steven (Jen) White; grandchildren, Alysha, Julia and Maria; great-grandson, Winston; sisters, June Sencabaugh, Sandra (Laird) King, Mary Lou (Allan) MacLeod; sister-in-law, Flo Lowe; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and friends.

Born in Murray River on October 13, 1946, daughter of the late Clarence "Buffy" and Lulu (nee Beck) Lowe. Besides her parents, Doris was predeceased by her loving husband Winston White; cherished grandson Mitchell White; sister Catherine (Doug) Collings; brothers John Lowe, Darrell Lowe and Waldo "Bud" Lowe; brother-in-law Grant Sencabaugh; and nephew Allan Collings.

Doris dedicated over 40 years at M&M Furniture as bookkeeper; outside of work, she could be found at the hockey rink or ball field cheering on her children and grandchildren. Beyond her love for sports, she took every opportunity to travel and discover new places. She also enjoyed her weekly golfing outings with great friends. Doris always had a passion for volunteering in her community, particularly within the Northumberland Arena and the Eagles View Golf Course.  Above all else, she loved her family and was there for them for everything.

Resting at Ferguson Logan Funeral Home with visiting hours on Wednesday, July 22, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral Service to be held from Ferguson Logan Montague Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, July 23, 2026 at 1:00 pm, followed by the interment in Murray River Cemetery.

Memorial donations would be greatly appreciated to Inclusions East or Murray River Cemetery Fund.

We would like to send a special thank you for the care Mom received from Island EMS, the Doctors and nursing staff at the Kings County Memorial Hospital and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
