1941-2021

Garth Gillis

Surrounded by his loving family, Garth Gillis, of Roseneath, entered the presence of his Lord and Saviour, one day before his 80th birthday. Born in Forest Hill, Garth fostered close community connections throughout his life. Garth is survived by his devoted partner, Debbie Johnston, and his daughters, Carolyn Gillis, Heather Gillis, Sharon (Colin) Gillis, and Gaylene (Brian) Gillis McCarron; Step-daughter Melanie (Robert) Fraser (deceased); brothers and sisters, Evelyn Seward, David Moore, Marvin Moore, Marion Doherty, Glen Moore, Barry Moore, Barbara Moore, Blair Moore and Beverly Collins (deceased); grandchildren, Grace, Bradford, Isabella, Michael, Hilary, Lesley, Alex, Sophia and Debbie’s grandchildren, Emileo, Brittany, and Emily. Predeceased by his parents, Betty (Gillis) Moore and Alfred Pyke, and Kay (MacDougall) Gillis, the mother of his children.

Garth will be forever loved and missed by family, friends, and his loyal Shi-tzu, Meesha.
