It is with
deep sorrow and heartbreak that we announce the sudden passing of
Justin Troy Stewart, age 36 years, of Eastern Passage, NS. Born and
raised in Beach Point, PEI, Justin was the loving husband of Jaime
Wertman, proud father of Walter Sterling Stewart, and cherished son of
Stephen and Rebecca Stewart. Justin will be forever loved and missed
by his sisters Kendra and Melissa (Evan), brother Micah (Sinead),
nephew Steve, niece Roslynn, as well as many extended family and
friends.
Justin’s kind and compassionate nature and
the care and generosity he showed to all those who knew him made
Justin such an amazing man. He had the biggest heart, the biggest
laugh, the best sense of humour, and touched so many people in his
short 36 years of life. Despite experiencing health issues since
birth, they never held him back from living his life to the fullest
and making the most out of every opportunity. When faced with
adversity, Justin met it with bravery and
strength.
From a young
age, Justin had such passion in everything he did. His love for
anything with an engine or motor began early and continued throughout
his life. From dirt bikes, motorcycles, and cars to boats, four
wheelers, and snowmobiles, Justin was always sailing, riding, driving,
fixing, or buying and selling. Justin worked as a mechanic for 13
years before pursuing his true passion and becoming a fisherman in
2015. Like everything else he did, Justin’s strong work
ethic, determination and strength shone through and made him the best
Captain.
As much as
Justin loved fishing, the love he had for his wife, Jaime, and son,
Walter, was so much stronger. Justin was the best husband and father
and loved Jaime and Walter more than anything in this world. Seeing
them together warmed our hearts so much, and it brings us solace
knowing that Justin will forever live on in Walter. Although
Justin’s time on this earth was cut far too short, we are so
grateful for the time we shared with him and will forever hold him
close in our hearts.
