Peacefully while sitting
looking out over the Northumberland Strait at his home in High Bank,
Glen passed away at the age of 68. Born in Murray Harbour. Left behind
with love and memories his wife of 47 years Delite (Young); son Brad
(Rechelle) Richards and daughter Paige (Tim MacDougall); six of his
favorite people, his grandchildren Luca, Abigail, and Gia Richards,
Isla, Frankie, and Maeve MacDougall; siblings Sandra (Arnett)
Reynolds, Jamie (Cheryl) Richards, and Sally (Eldon) King; aunt
Shirley (John) Krug; sisters-in-law Wilma (Neil) MacKinnon, Verlie
Young, Jane Young; special nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Predeceased by parents Perce and Jemima (Cook) Richards; in-laws Frank
and Doris (MacEachern) Young; nephews Jamie Reynolds, Brian MacKinnon;
and brother-in-law Clinton Young.
The family are
forever grateful for Dr. Terry Magennis for his care and concern. Dr.
Scott Campbell for his kindness and compassion at the end. A special
thank you to Dr. Williams and Dr. Boyd; Josh, Ashley, and Amy at
Lawton’s. Heather Fitzpatrick IRS and ALS Society and all
others who crossed our paths on this journey. To Glen’s
niece Heather MacKenzie (RN) who was always a message
away.
