Surrounded by family, James "Garnet" McIntyre, passed away on April 12, 2026 at the Kings County Memorial Hospital. Born in Montague, on September 29, 1943, son of the late Garnet "Bud" McIntyre and Gertrude (nee Fraser) McIntyre. 

Garnet is survived by his beloved wife, Pauline ( Bears) McIntyre; children, Tammy McIntyre, Mike (Alison) McIntyre, Brian (Stacey) McIntyre; grandchildren, Hunter, Jacob, Sophie, Will and Aris; sister Debra McIntyre (Ken Lawrence). 

The family wishes to express a very heartfelt thank you to the amazing staff of the Kings County Memorial Hospital for their exceptional care and compassion our father received during his time there.

Resting at Ferguson Logan Funeral Home, Montague,  with visiting hours on Thursday, April 16, 2026 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. A private family service will be held at a later date.
